[Commemorating the 90th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio's birth]

"CAFÉ de FUJIKO・F・FUJIO MUSEUM"
A special live concert to celebrate the release has been decided!


To commemorate the release of the CD "CAFÉ de FUJIKO・F・FUJIO MUSEUM Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio's Birth" in February 2024, a special live concert has been scheduled to be held at the jazz club COTTON CLUB in Marunouchi, Tokyo!

This album is a CD of original background music created for the museum cafe in the Kawasaki City Fujiko F Fujio Museum. Pianist Ryotaro Imai has arranged anime songs from Fujiko F Fujio's works, such as "Make My Dreams Come Doraemon, Doraemon" and "I'm Doraemon," and "Swimming Absence" and "First Kiss" from "Kiteretsu Encyclopedia," into bossa café music.

The first show of the performance is subtitled "JAZZ for CHILDREN" and is a program that can be enjoyed by everyone, from children to adults, and the whole family.

Ryotaro Imai
A pianist who made his major debut in 2013, he continues to lead the Brazilian music scene in Japan with his unique style that combines the traditional playing techniques he learned in Rio de Janeiro with the bright and free atmosphere of his hometown, Shonan. He has released eight original albums and two best albums from Nippon Columbia, and has been active in a wide range of fields, including working on numerous projects as a music producer and composing pop songs and school songs. He is also known as a big fan of the works of Fujiko F. Fujio.

RYOTARO IMAI GROUP
The flute will be played by Takako Mitsushima, who works across genres from Brazilian music to pop, classical, and jazz, and has also worked on musical soundtracks, as well as music for commercials, dramas, and movies. The marimba will be played by Megumi Kamei, a bossa nova marimba player based in Hokuriku who continues to promote the charm and potential of the marimba like never before. The guitarist will be Takehiko Tonozono, a young musician who is attracting attention for playing authentic Brazilian grooves. The bassist will be Kiichiro Komobuchi, who has performed with many artists such as Sadao Watanabe, Machiko Watanabe, Koji Tamaki, and Lisa Ono, and is active in concert tours and recordings around the world. In addition, Kiyotaka Kuroda, who is active both domestically and internationally as a top drummer in the Brazilian music world in Japan, supporting Brazilian musicians who visit Japan, and Emeriko Koyanagi, an up-and-coming percussionist who has traveled to Brazil seven times since 2017 to participate in the Rio Samba Carnival and is a member of many groups in Japan, will also be participating. This powerful performance by these members is a must-listen!
